Cundiff (pictured) joined Kantar from Microsoft in 2019. He is leaving the business to ‘re-evaluate his personal priorities’, according to Kantar.

The company has not yet announced the appointment of a successor for Cundiff.

Kantar has undergone several changes in senior leadership in the 18 months since WPP sold 60% of the business to private equity firm Bain Capital.

At the start of July, the company appointed Chris Jansen as group chief executive officer after Alexis Nasard – the successor to previous longstanding chief executive Eric Salama – resigned after four months in the role.

In a trading update, Kantar said April revenue was up by 18% and May revenue up 21%, after adjusting for the disposal of its Health division.

A Kantar spokesperson said: “Earlier this year Reed started the process of re-evaluating his personal priorities. It was important to him though that he led our organisation to a good stage of recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic before taking his next steps.

“We thank him for his passionate and considerate leadership, leading the business back to double-digit growth and his allyship during other societal shifts which we know had a lasting impact on colleagues.

“We wish him every success for his future. We will announce a successor in due course.”
