Kantar hires two

UK – Kantar has made two senior appointments, including Christoph Haschka as group director of mergers and acquisitions.

Haschka (pictured) will join from September and will report to Ian Griffiths, deputy chief executive and chief financial officer at Kantar.

Before joining Kantar, Haschka was group chief executive at The Food Solutions Group, having joined the company in 2016 as senior vice-president for mergers and acquisitions.

Haschka also spent several years as an independent consultant following roles in the investment banking technology, media and telecoms (TMT) teams at Macquarie Capital and UBS, having started his career at Mannesmann AG, Orange and Liberty Global.

The appointment follows Kantar’s recent $1.5bn acquisition of Chicago-based consumer and market intelligence firm Numerator earlier in 2021, and the sale of tracking and monitoring business Reputation Intelligence earlier this week.

Chuck Brinker has immediately joined Kantar to lead the brand guidance product team, reporting to Ted Prince, chief product officer at Kantar.

Brinker spent seven years at SurveyMonkey prior to joining Kantar, most recently as vice-president/general manager, market research solutions.

Prior to SurveyMonkey, Brinker spent five years with Edelman as senior vice-president of its insights and analytics business.

Griffiths said: “Chuck’s expertise in building artificial intelligence and machine learning-infused applications and making analytics more user-friendly will be key in further advancing our innovation agenda and delivering more valuable insights to our clients.

“Christoph will head up our group mergers and acquisitions team and lead our inorganic growth agenda. Christoph brings us deep experience across the TMT landscape and track record of generating and closing mergers and acquisitions transactions.”
