THE RESEARCH 2011 ILLUMINAS PARTY

Every delegate ticket, one-day or two-day, includes a place at the best research networking event of the year – the Research 2011 Illuminas Party. Party-only tickets are available to purchase separetely for those not attending the conference.

Held on the first night of the conference at Mustard Lounge in St Paul’s, the Research 2011 Illuminas Party offers complimentary food, drink, entertainment and dancing until late – make sure you don’t miss out. The Mustard Lounge is located next the conference hotel and is the perfect place to network with fellow delegates ready and relax after a day at conference.

AT THE CONFERENCE

The Hub
The Hub is central to conference networking, a space where delegates can catch up with eachother over lunch, grab a coffee between sessions, check emails or Tweet about the conference.

Champagne bar
Why not discuss your conference experience over a glass of bubby? The Research 2011 Champagne Bar will be open all day serving Campagne and Buck’s Fizz for delegates to network debate or just relax.

Conference lounge
Set up with TVs, magazines and papers, delegates can kick back in comfy couches and catch up on the news, gossip and watch what’s going on in the conference main room. Light refreshments will be available all day

Internet café
A dedicated area for logging on, checking emails, tweeting, or just grabbing a coffee with other delegates. This dedicated room will be set up with complimentary wireless internet access, PCs and a coffee bar.

Relaxation zone
Always popular with conference-goers, this is a chance for delegates to relax at the hands of professional masseurs inbetween sesisons.

The future of data discply
The Showcase, aims to inspire through featuring new methods of visualising data and by challenging the industry to think creatively about data communication. We’re looking for examples of where you have communicated data with impact – submit your ideas for the chance to win an iPad.

Research 2011 closing drinks reception – Hosted by R-Net

Wednesday 23 March, from 17.30

Conference attendees are invited to join R-Net, the MRS network for young researchers, at the Research 2011 closing drinks reception during the Conference Awards shortlist announcement. Conference-goers will get the opportunity to mingle with one another, share their conference experience over a glass of champagne and meet with the fresh faces of the research industry.
