Social media monitor Crimson Hexagon bags $5m funding

US— Social media monitoring firm Crimson Hexagon has secured $5m in funding from Charles Dolan, founder of Cablevision Systems.

The company said it would use the money to accelerate its product development and increase its client base.

President and CEO Patricia Gottesman says: “Charles Dolan’s investment recognises Crimson Hexagon’s readiness for expansion and rapid growth.”

Crimson Hexagon was founded in 2007 and funded by the Golden Seeds investors group. Its ForSight social media monitoring and analysis tool is used by clients in sectors including media, financial services, advertising, government and public affairs.
