US— Microsoft’s internet search engine Bing has signed up to use Crimson Hexagon’s ForSight social media monitoring platform to analyse online conversations.
After using the service for a month, Microsoft Bing said that the insights it received helped create new ideas for marketing campaigns and identified new ways to communicate with customers.
Lisa Brende (pictured), director of marketing analytics for Bing and MSN at Microsoft, said the tool helped the company to “identify ways that we can connect with our target audiences on a more individual level. This information enabled our marketing team to hone strategies tailored to exactly what our customers need and deserve.”
Crimson Hexagon CEO Scott Centurino added: “We are thrilled that Microsoft Bing selected our ForSight platform to truly understand the value and impact of customers’ social media conversations, and how they can inform meaningful, productive marketing campaigns.”
