Cint becomes privately owned

Triton Fund 6 and Bolero made the cash offer through TriCarbs BidCo to acquire all outstanding shares in Cint Group earlier this year.
Cint shares stopped trading on Nasdaq Stockholm on 7th August.
Cint said the new ownership would give it flexibility to invest faster and expand its core research and media measurement platforms. Specifically, it will speed up its priorities around AI-native tools and workflows, insight that is easier to access and integrate, and new approaches to measuring media.
The company will maintain all ongoing operations and said it would continue to work with customers and partners across its research and measurement businesses ‘without interruption’.
The move follows Cint’s acquisition of Lucid for $1.07bn in 2022, which saw founder Patrick Comer (pictured) join the business, and later become chief executive of Cint in 2024.
Cint has a workforce based in offices in Stockholm, London, New York and other locations globally.
Comer said: “We now have an opportunity to invest more decisively in the products, people, and partnerships that will shape the next generation of research and measurement technology.”
Brett Schnittlich, executive director at Cint, said the backing would allow the business to “foster an environment built on ownership, transparency, purpose, and accelerated innovation”.
Gustaf Behmer, investment advisory professional at Triton Partners, said: “Demand for high-quality, real-time data continues to grow, and Cint’s global scale in research combined with its momentum in media measurement, particularly the launch of outcomes, positions it to meet that demand.”
Daniel Björklund, partner and investment advisory professional at Triton Partners, added: “In backing Cint, we look forward to supporting the company as it expands the product portfolio and advances its leadership in AI-enabled insights.”
Triton Partners previously owned Norstat between 2019 and 2024.
