Powell Tate and Crimson Hexagon launch social media summary tool

US— Communications agency Powell Tate has partnered with social media monitoring firm Crimson Hexagon on a data visualisation tool that provides a daily graphic summary of the topics driving online conversations.

Social media sites tracked by PoliPulse include blogs, forums and tweets and a combination of human data analysis and algorithms are used to highlight statistical patterns within conversations. Bloggers at Powell Tate provide further analysis of the stats, the firm said.

Powell Tate president Pam Jenkins said: “The online opinions and conversations of consumers, voters and the media influence the decisions in the boardroom and in the corridors of government. But keeping up with multiple channels of online discussions and debates can be overwhelming. PoliPulse analyses and compiles those discussions and presents them in a clear, graphic format that can be easily understood and used.”
