Thai research market ‘to grow 6%’ in 2010
According to the Bangkok Post, managing director Hidetaka Iwabe said business was picking up, with companies more confident about the economic outlook and the local political situation.
“Thailand has been through economic and political problems before and could recover very fast after these difficulties,” Iwabe was quoted as saying.
The market had a value of 3bn Thai baht in 2009. Growth of 6% would be in line with the country’s economic growth this year and would bring the market to a value of about 3.2bn baht (£59.7m).
Video Research’s Thai business is expecting to grow by about 20% this year. The firm has its headquarters in Japan.
