Rentrak Q2 revenue up 29% in media and information division

US — Media measurement firm Rentrak has posted a 29% increase in revenue for its Advanced Media and Information (AMI) division in the fiscal second-quarter.

AMI sales for the three months ending 30 September were $17m. Of that, $7.2m was for its TV data products, $6.3m for its box office sales tracking, and $3.4m for OnDemand measurements.

Meanwhile, Rentrak’s home entertainment information and distribution services business increased revenue 35% to $12.5m, bringing total quarterly revenue to $29.5m, up 31%.

CEO Bill Livek (pictured) said: “Rentrak has built the only census currencies for measuring the movies and TV everywhere, and we believe we are in the early stage of very substantial revenue growth.”
