Nielsen’s Gelman joins YouGov to lead data portfolio

Gelman will lead the development of YouGov’s data portfolio, overseeing the design, collection and analysis of the company’s longitudinal data set, and supporting the company’s broader growth and innovation initiatives.
Formerly global head of product at Nielsen, Gelman was product manager for the company’s content measurement portfolio and core audience measurement services, including Nielsen TV ratings. Prior to that, Gelman worked in various senior positions at Nielsen in product and data science.
As part of her remit, Gelman will aim to ensure that clients have faster and “more incisive” insights for business challenges, according to the company.
The appointment marks a milestone for YouGov in strengthening how it gathers, interprets and applies data.
