The announcement comes alongside news that Richard Barton (Group MD) and Charlotte Butterworth (Qualitative MD) are to leave the company.

Strauss (pictured) joined Future Thinking in May 2014 from Burton’s Biscuits Company as managing director of FMCG & Shopper (Launch). As part of the reorganisation, Rebecca Ironside will become managing director, qualitative, and Ian Hext will take over Strauss’ role as managing dicrector, Launch.

“I am delighted to appoint Claudia to the role of UK managing director," said group CEO Jon Priest. "Claudia has strong business acumen and the right blend of talents suited to this role. She has a clear strategic vision for how our business will continue to grow and drive the future of insight for current and prospective clients.

"I am also delighted that Rebecca and Ian have agreed to take on the challenge of their respective roles. I have no doubt the business and our clients will benefit from their collective experience and insightfulness going forwards.”
