US— Webtrends has added real-time web analytics to its portfolio with the purchase of Reinvigorate from Media Temple Ventures.
Reinvigorate was launched in 2002 by Sean McNamara, and was bought in 2008 by web-hosting firm Media Temple, which was looking to build an integrated suite of website services. As well as real-time analytics, its technology brings data visualisation tools to Webtrends’ offerings, which analyse user activity on websites, mobile apps and Facebook.
Webtrends CEO Alex Yoder (pictured) said the acquisition would also bring to Webtrends “a talented team” with “rich experience in digital analytics and product development”.
The companies said this was the first step in an “ongoing partnership” that will see Webtrends analytics provided directly to customers of Media Temple’s hosting services.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
