Walmart data monetisation business launches qual research

US – Walmart Luminate, the data monetisation arm of US retailer Walmart, has added qualitative research to its offer.

Walmart Luminate offers US suppliers and merchants access to customer insights from across Walmart.

The business has updated its ‘Customer Perception’ tool, which will allow for granular level audience targeting and now includes survey design and sentiment analysis.

It will now also offer access to self-recorded video clips from its community of customer panellists.

Linda Lomelino, senior director of product management at Walmart Data Ventures, said: "Now, charter members of Walmart Luminate can see the ‘why’ behind the buy, through self-recorded video clips from our Customer Spark Community.

"This unlocks candid answers from real customers to strengthen product strategies and sharpen concepts, including sentiment analysis; concept testing; product feedback; rebranding; and store experience.”
