CANADA – Customer relationship intelligence software company, Vision Critical, has bought assets of AI-start-up Aida Software.
The acquisition of the Vancouver-based Aida will help Vision Critical develop and integrate machine learning and AI-based applications for its Sparq 3 customer intelligence platform.
The deal involves the Aida data science team joining Vision Critical. This includes its founder and CEO, Jenny Yang (pictured), who will now lead data science initiatives at Vision Critical.
Yang has consulted at The Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Co as well as leading investments in early stage tech companies at BDC Venture Capital. Before founding Aida, she co-founded and was CEO of Metafor Software, which was acquired by Splunk in 2015.
Divesh Sisodraker, president and chief product officer for Vision Critical, said: “Adding artificial intelligence and machine learning applications to Sparq 3 enables companies to surface previously hidden insight and to create better end-to-end customer experiences based on the data they’re gathering.”
Vision Critical announced a set of AI-powered applications for Sparq 3, called CRIS (Customer Relationship Intelligence Science), late last year.
