UserTesting adds MCPs to link data with AI applications

The move will mean that teams can embed customer insight from the UserTesting and User Interviews platforms into their working processes, and conduct research tasks directly within AI models including ChatGPT and Claude.
Developed by AI company Anthropic, the MCP is an open standard that connects AI applications and large language models (LLMs) to external data, tools and systems.
“AI has dramatically accelerated how teams generate ideas, designs, and content. Speed only creates value when it’s grounded in real customer understanding,” said Jennifer Artabane, vice-president of product management at UserTesting.
Artabane added the MCP servers mean that “teams can move from asking AI what’s possible to validating what actually works with real customers without breaking their creative flow”.
UserTesting is one of a number of companies in the research and insight space to make MCP support available, including Stravito and YouGov.
