CANADA— Michael Antecol, a vice president with TNS responsible for Western Canada, died suddenly on 29 December, the company has announced. He was 42.
Antecol’s practice areas included media research, advertising, marketing, social marketing, young consumers, technology, telecoms and energy. He was also study director for TNS’s syndicated consumer confidence index.
He joined TNS four years ago, prior to which he was a vice president at Pollara Market Research, a director of online research at Frank N Magid Associates and wired youth analyst at Forrester Research.
TNS Canada MD Michael Ennamoratto said: “All of those who knew Michael were immediately impressed with his vibrant personality and drive, as well as with his determination to embrace innovation and creative thinking. He never hesitated to go the extra mile for clients and colleagues alike. His success at building a solid and growing Vancouver practice and at establishing a close-knit, strongly motivated team is widely recognised.
“Michael will be greatly missed at TNS Canada both personally and professionally.”
Raymond Gee has been named acting manager of the Vancouver office.
