US — Thomson Reuters has announced that it has added news sentiment data to its Eikon desktop.
The data includes sentiment analysis of Twitter feeds for the first time.
According to Thomson Reuters, the addition provides financial markets professionals with “very quick and intuitive ways of identifying trends and potential signals in huge amounts of unstructured data.”
Eikon takes feeds from both Twitter and StockTwits and weights and analyses sentiment. It then uses a charting application to display the data.
