The Big Picture founder sells agency to new leadership
The Big Picture said that Pereira (pictured right) and Aukett (pictured left) are the new owners of the agency following a management buyout completed on 29th October 2024, and will lead the agency.
Following the sale and transition to new leadership, Cassidy will remain as non-executive chairman of the agency.
Pereira and Aukett became managing directors at The Big Picture in 2022, when Cassidy assumed the role of chairman.
The Big Picture was founded by Cassidy in 1993, and uses design thinking and behavioural theory in brand design and experience.
Cassidy said: “I know Laura and Chris will do a fantastic job at leading The Big Picture into the future. I’ve witnessed firsthand how their complementary skills make them extremely effective.
“Since they took over running the company in 2022, they’ve consolidated our position as one of the leading research agencies in design and spearheaded our growth into the adjacent areas of brand strategy and innovation.
“Throughout a long career, I’ve been privileged to work with some fantastically talented colleagues and clients and engaged with some tricky design challenges on brands around the globe. It’s been a fantastic experience, but all good things must come to an end.”
