SurveyMonkey updates platform

US – Survey company SurveyMonkey has released new tools for its platform incorporating conversational AI survey-building.

SurveyMonkey said that its AI would help users with questions and in refining surveys, and offer personalised recommendations.

Other tools include those to support analysis of survey results, such as identifying important findings and providing plain-language explanations of what they mean.

SurveyMonkey also said it was working on an integration with Google’s Gemini large language model (LLM), following on from similar arrangements with ChatGPT and Claude.

The integrations allow users to work with SurveyMonkey within their chosen LLM.

The company will also be announcing a human resource information system integration to connect SurveyMonkey with HR platforms such as Workday and BambooHR.

The integration would allow HR teams to build audiences from employee data and analyse the results in the context of their organisation.

By the end of the year, SurveyMonkey will also overhaul its Benchmarks tool to allow users to automatically compare their results against similar organisations.

The updates to the platform will begin being released from September 2026.

Eric Johnson, chief executive at SurveyMonkey, said: “AI is changing how work gets done, but businesses shouldn’t have to choose between moving fast and understanding the people they serve. The best decisions come from built-in listening.”
