Salesforce to buy Listen Labs

Based in San Francisco, Listen Labs was established in April 2025 by Alfred Wahlforss and Florian Juengermann (pictured). The company raised $69m in Series B funding in January this year.
The company initially used an AI ‘interviewer’ tool to survey research participants, and now also uses AI agents to autonomously design studies, recruit participants from a network of around 50 million participants in around 120 languages, and synthesise findings.
Listen Labs also offers digital twins which are based on data from survey interviews and generate simulated responses that businesses can use to test how customers might respond to a new product, marketing message, or idea before launch.
The acquisition will expand Salesforce’s customer and user understanding, complementing its Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud propositions and its broader AI portfolio. Listen Labs said it will become part of Salesforce AI Labs and that its chief executive and CTO would retain their positions.
Salesforce said Listen Labs automates the process of connecting with customers and analysing their feedback, and that the move would mean it could help companies to ‘move beyond static surveys and traditional market research’ to ‘understand – and even simulate – what customers will do and why’.
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Business Insider previously reported Salesforce as considering buying Listen Labs for ‘around $2bn'.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions including regulatory clearance.
Aman Naimat, president of AI Labs, Salesforce, said: “Listen Labs has reimagined customer experience, market research, and customer simulation with AI agents that can conduct meaningful research and uncover context behind customer and user feedback.
“We look forward to expanding access to these agentic capabilities through Salesforce, helping more companies and governments make faster, better-informed decisions that deliver exceptional customer experiences.”
Alfred Wahlforss, chief executive and co-founder at Listen Labs, said: “With AI, a company can now have thousands of real conversations at once and even simulate how customers will respond before making a move. Together with Salesforce, we’ll put that understanding at the heart of every decision.”
The move follows Salesforce’s acquisition of conversational insights platform Momentum, in March 2026, as it looks to capture conversational data from apps including Zoom.
