Sago launches new participant verification process

US – Research business Sago has added a new participant verification process to its platform to help strengthen its approach to data quality and protect the integrity of its research.

The verification process will be built into Sago’s panel onboarding experience, with the new system using government-issued ID verification combined with biometric selfie matching to confirm participant identity.

The new approach uses secure identity verification platform Persona to validate IDs and make sure they match the person submitting them.

Participants who do not meet verification standards would be either rejected or flagged for review.

Sago said the approach would hopefully prevent duplicate accounts, impersonation and the use of falsified credentials.

Melanie Courtright, chief strategy officer at Sago, said: “This enhanced verification process reflects our unwavering commitment to quality and ensures our clients’ insights are built on a foundation of authentic, verified participants.”
