Podcast advertising tools launched by Comscore

In addition to Spotify, the agreement covers SiriusXM, Triton Digital, Acast and Libysn, and will use Proximic by Comscore’s transcript-level intelligence tools to support brand-safety and AI-supported Predictive Audiences tools.
The addition of the tools is intended to give brands the ability to analyse podcast and streaming content at transcript level, allowing advertising to be aligned to topics and the context of specific episodes, rather than broader themes.
Episode-level brand safety and suitability classifications will also be used to target opportunities for advertising placements based on the content of an individual recording.
Jessica Trainor, head of partnerships at Proximic by Comscore, said that “podcasts are having a cultural moment” and that transcript-level intelligence would help advertisers “reach listeners in the moments and environments that matter”.
John Rosso, president and chief executive at Triton Digital, said: “Podcasting is a very high engagement media environment, and advertisers increasingly want to make it a more meaningful part of their plans.
“But the medium is highly fragmented, and buyers need better ways to identify the right content and context for their message.”
