New CEO at Comscore

US – Media planning and evaluation firm Comscore has named Matt McLaughlin as chief executive effective immediately, replacing Jon Carpenter.

Boardroom

McLaughlin was previously chief operating officer at DoubleVerify, where he directed the company’s product, engineering and sales operations and managed more than half of its employees.

In addition, McLaughlin already serves on Comscore’s board of directors and is a significant common stockholder in the company.

Carpenter will act as a senior adviser to the board and chief executive until October 2026. He will also be replaced on the board of directors by Stuart Frankel, managing director at advisory and coaching firm 10X CEO and former chief executive and co-founder at generative AI business Narrative Science.

David Kline, chairman of the board of Comscore, said: “Matt brings a unique combination of strategic insight, operational leadership and deep expertise in the digital advertising and measurement ecosystem.

“Through his board service and longstanding investment in the company, he already has a strong understanding of the business, our mission and the opportunities ahead. We are excited to welcome him into this leadership role as we move into our next phase of growth.”

McLaughlin added, “I am honoured to step into the role of CEO at such an important time for Comscore.

“Jon has helped build a foundation for the business, and I look forward to working with the team to drive meaningful growth and execute on our strategic priorities.”
