Playhaven acquires analytics start-up Staq.io

US — Playhaven, a startup that helps mobile game developers monetise their player bases has acquired analytics program provider Staq.io to beef up its analytics offerings.

Staq.io, which had came out of Microsoft’s TechStars incubator program, had built an analytics product that helps game developers understand how to retain and monetise engaged players and Playhaven’s CEO Andy Yang said the company quickly saw there was a shared vision for the long-term.

Yang said: “We help developers maximise their players’ lifetime value from two very different angles. They come from the real-time analytics side by giving insight and we’re coming from the other angle, with a great toolset that allows our developers to take action.”
