US – Global advertising and brand company Phoenix Marketing International has appointed Tamilselvan Gurusamy as chief technology officer.
Gurusamy (pictured) has joined the company as part of its acquisition of Nielsen’s TV Brand Effect. Prior to that, he was senior-vice president of technology at Nielsen, leading the cloud transition of its Brand Effect product portfolio, the development of the ad and content ratings platforms and the company’s expansion to the China market.
In his new role, he will lead Phoenix MI’s application development, customer experience platform, business intelligence and business analysis teams.
Based in the company’s office in Oldsmar, Florida, he will report to chief operating officer Scott Spry.
Allen DeCotiis, chairman and chief executive at Phoenix MI, said: “Tamil is an extremely well-respected figure within our industry. His appointment demonstrates the vision that we both share and will help us future-proof the company from a technological standpoint.”
