Perspective restructures and appoints MDs

UK — BDRC Group’s Perspective Research Services has created separate qualitative and quantitative divisions with managing directors assigned to each.

Ger-Jan van der Maten has been appointed the managing director of qualitative and online, based in Perspective’s Holborn office. He will be responsible for all qualitative and online aspects of the business, including Holborn Focus viewing facility, mystery shopping and digital research.

Van der Maten started his market research career with NOP Research in 1997 and joined Perspective in early 2001 as operations director. In 2011 he took on the role of finance and management director.

Tom Stacey has been made managing director of its quantitative division based at its Angel office. His responsibilities will include telephone, face-to-face and DP.

Stacey started his career with FDS International in 1996, moving to continental research where worked as a research director in the telecoms division. He became operations director in 2004 and continued in this role after BDRC’s acquisition of Continental in 2007 and the merger of Continental’s operational functions with Perspective in 2010.

Richard Sheldrake (pictured), COO of the BDRC Group said: “I am delighted that the business has grown to the extent that it needs to separate into these two divisions. The new structure helps Perspective to face the challenges facing data collection in the future.”
