People on the move


The latest appointments and promotions in the global market research and consumer insight industry. This week: The Oxford Research Agency, Charm Communications, Site Intelligence, Hypatia Research, Collective, Cedar Fair, Hassan Associates, JWT New York, Movado, Ipsos Health, ComScore, Allen & Gerritsen and JRA Research.

The Oxford Research Agency in the UK has appointed EMMA BARET as an associate director in its FMCG team. She joins the firm after spending six years at Ipsos. TORA has also promoted STEVE KING to head of customer experience and operations, RICHARD MILLS to head of FMCG and JACKIE TARRAN to head of international FMCG.

YIHE ZHAO has been promoted to vice president of market research at Chinese TV advertising agency Charm Communications. He joined the firm’s market and media research department in 2008.

DAVID REIBSTEIN, professor of marketing at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, has joined the board of customer intelligence agency Site Intelligence.

Hypatia Research in the US has appointed JEFF BAKER as vice president of business development. Baker has previously worked for Oracle, Sybase and Aberdeen Group.

US display advertising agency Collective has appointed JUSTIN EVANS to the new position of senior vice president of audience measurement. He joins from Nielsen where he was SVP of advertising solutions.

LEE ANN ALEXAKOS has been promoted to vice president of marketing and advertising at amusement resort chain Cedar Fair in the US. She will be responsible for all the firm’s market research activity in her new role.

Market research-focused recruitment agency Hassan Associates has hired YVONNE COSTELLO to its team. She will focus on the planning and qualitative research sector.

JERRY NICHOLS has been appointed director of analytics at ad agency JWT New York. He was previously director of database marketing and analytics at SAP.

Watch manufacturer Movado has hired JOE FARANDA as senior vice president of consumer insights and strategic planning. He joins from International Flavors and Fragrances in new York, where he was chief marketing officer.

ComScore’s chief product officer ERIC BOSCO has left the company after only five months in the role. He joined the web audience measurement firm from AOL where he was senior vice president of global products and US operations.

Ipsos Health has named ROBERT RAMIREZ as vice president of partnership development. Based in the US, he previously held a client service role.

US marketing agency Allen & Gerritsen has appointed RICH GROGAN as vice president and director of measurement and analytics. He was previously director of analytics at Studiocom.

JRA Research has appointed KIRSTY BRYANT as research executive. She joins UK-based JRA following a stint as client relations executive at International Graduate Insight Group (i-graduate).
