Dr. Martens appoints first customer director

Morton will report to chief brand officer Carla Murphy, strengthening the brand’s customer strategy globally.
She will be part of the company’s leadership team, with a focus on using consumer insight and customer experience to grow the brand’s relevance and loyalty.
Morton’s career in fashion, luxury and retail has included 17 years at Burberry, where she worked in customer experience and digital transformation roles. She has also worked as an independent consultant, advising brands including Fortnum & Mason.
Carla Murphy, chief brand officer, Dr. Martens, said: "Katie has an outstanding track record helping some of the world’s most iconic brands better understand and serve their consumers.
