People on the move


The latest appointments and promotions from the global market research and consumer insight industry. This week: QA Research, ORC, Globalpark, ViziSense, MRops, Market Probe and more.

SHEILA KURNIADI has been appointed head of business development for the UK and Ireland at social media insight agency Asomo. She has previously worked in brand management for Nestlé Indonesia and as a consultant for Louis Vuitton in France.

QA Research in the UK has appointed MATT BROUGHTON as research manager to manage qual and quant projects for local authority and private sector clients. The firm has also appointed ZAK HAERI as a research executive in the leisure and tourism team.

US marketing analytics agency LogicLab has appointed MICHAEL LAZZARO as vice president of analytics. In the newly created role he will be responsible for developing and overseeing all the firm’s analytical capabilities. In his last job he led a team of data analysts at DraftFCB.

Indian online audience measurement firm ViziSense has named a new board of advisers. The members are: ATIT MEHTA (head of media buying for India at Hindustan Unilever), MADAN SANGLIKAR (partner at Mindshare), PRAVEEN SHARMA (COO at Madison Media Plus), NEVILLE TARAPOREWALLA (director at Microsoft India), RAJAN SRINIVASAN (VP of sales at Web18 Software Services) SANDEEP AMAR (head of marketing and audience at, AMIT VARMA (former CEO at aMap), SABINA SOLOMON (general manager at the Media Research Users Council) and ANDREW REID (ex-MD at Nielsen Online Australia).

Survey software supplier Globalpark has hired SHOAIB OOSMAN as sales director for the UK. Oosman has spent the last eight years running his own management company.

DEE TOOMEY has been promoted from client services director to general manager at UK data analytics agency Scientia Data. She has been with the firm for three years.

US research outsourcing firm MRops has opened a new office in Minneapolis and hired a number of new senior staff members. JOE MANN and SHANNON HAZLETT, who both join from TNS, have been appointed executive vice president of client services and vice president respectively. MATT SPICER, who previously worked in the direct marketing industry, joins as chief technology officer and SHARI LISNOV, MAX KISSEL and NANCY KIENZLER join the senior project management team.

Fieldworks Direct in the UK has appointed SAJED LATIF and TOM BOYLE as senior data processing executives. Latif joins from Kantar while Boyle was previously at TNS-RI.

DANIEL ROSE has rejoined UK qual agency Firefish as an associate director after working as a research manager at the COI for the past 18 months. The firm has also appointed MANDY KAYE, formerly of specialist agency Kids Industries, as a research executive.

US loyalty marketing agency Kobie Marketing has appointed PATRICK VENKER as director of strategic services. He joins from Nielsen where he was vice president and group client director where he managed an analytical team for Coca-Cola North America.

KARL LENDENMANN has been appointed vice president of marketing and analytics at US digital marketing agency Datran Media. He was previously a partner at KMPG US.

Market Probe has hired ROGER THOMAS as managing director of Asia Pacific operations and SAJI KUMAR as regional senior vice president. Thomas was previously president of the strategic service division at Total Research while Kumar has worked for research agencies in the US and Australia.
