The latest appointments and promotions in the global market research industry

Harris Interactive has appointed MIKE FRIEND as director of employee research in the UK. He joins from Deloitte where he was a management consultant in the Human Capital practice.

AURELIA LEOPOLD has joined Kadence International in Indonesia as associate research director. She was previously at TNS. SYLVIA ANWARD has also been appointed as senior research manager.

Video advertising services agency Unicast in the US has appointed DANIEL BERRA as vice president of business intelligence. He joins from T3 where he was vice president of the consumer insight group.

STEPHEN WHYTE has been appointed CEO for Europe at marketing services group Acxiom. He was previously CEO at McCann Erickson London.

The Oxford Research Agency in the UK has appointed RICHARD MILLS as a research director, SARAH HEATHER as an associate director and added SUNITA BHABRA to Mimosa, its qualitative division. Mills joins from MMR Research Worldwide, Heather was previously at Conquest and Bhabra most recently worked for Kids Research. TERESA PEREIRA joins as research executive from Marktest in Portugal, while BETHANY SHINKINS has been appointed a trainee statistician and JIGNA NAIK has been hired as senior DP executive. STUART WRIGHT has been promoted to research manager in the customer experience team and IRENE KOUMI has been promoted to research executive from within the FMCG team.

JAMES BELL has joined US automotive information provider Kelley Blue Brook as primary executive market analyst. He was previously editor and publisher at IntelliChoice.

Sage Communications in the US has appointed KAREN O’SHAUGHNESSY as vice president of its media services division. She previously oversaw research and strategic planning at The Bomstein Agency.

DAVID SCHOENFELD has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing at India-based Ugam Interactive, where he will be responsible for leading the firm’s US growth. He joins from Oerlikon, where he was director of software sales.

The Advertising Research Foundation has appointed LYNNE JOHNSON as senior vice president of social media. She joins from FastCompany.com where she was senior editor and community director.

Experimental marketing agency House Party in the US has appointed PETER STORCK as senior vice president of community and analytics. Storck previously founded and led strategic insight agency Points North Group.

ERIC LARSEN has been appointed vice chairman of the board of directors at online buzz tracking agency BuzzLogic. He joins from direct marketing agency Wunderman where he was president.

Metrics Marketing Group in the US has appointed DEAN WESTERVELT as a senior consultant in the consulting and analytics group. He joins from Epsilon where he was senior director of consulting and analytics.
