Nexium is a retail in-store execution and sales analytics firm headquartered in Madrid, with offices in Mexico and Brazil. Its 150 employees will join Nielsen.

Nielsen chief buy officer Arturo Garcia Castro said: “Client needs have evolved. They now require an increased focus on measurement at store level, and global sales activation. Nexium is a natural fit with Nielsen’s portfolio of solutions in shopper marketing, assortment and space optimisation, trade promotion and retail execution tracking. This will allow our clients to make more informed and impactful business decisions.”

  • Nielsen has also announced the signing of a multi-year agreement with Intermountain West Communications, owner and operator of KSNV-TV, the NBC affiliate in Las Vegas. The agreement will see KSNV use Nielsen television audience measurement and Local Custom Toolbox in the Las Vegas market.
