John Lewis tops UK brand health index
The index ranking list shows the brands with the highest average index scores between July 1 2016 and June 30 2017. John Lewis recorded a score of 43.5, almost three points clear of the next highest ranked brand, BBC iPlayer, which scored 40.6.
Two other BBC brands also appeared in the top 10: BBC One was in fifth place with a score of 37.8, and BBC Two was in ninth place with a score of 36.1. YouGov stated that it “should be noted that all of the data for the list was compiled before the BBC published its pay figures”.

- Marks & Spencer ( 39.9 )
- Amazon ( 37.8 )
- BBC One ( 37.8 )
- Samsung ( 37.7 )
- Heinz ( 37.6 )
- BBC Two ( 36.1 )
- Boots ( 35.5 )
Globally, Google topped the index, with a total of 17 appearances in top 10 lists around the world. YouTube was second ( 13 appearances), followed by Facebook and Samsung (both 10 ).
