Ipsos MediaCT names new CEO

FRANCE— Ipsos has appointed Yannick Carriou as chief executive of Ipsos MediaCT, replacing Richard Silman who has been made head of corporate and social responsibility programs across the company.

Carriou was previously country manager for France. His previous role has been filled by Dominique Levy-Saragossi – formerly managing director of Ipsos Marketing (France).

Carriou has also spent 10 years with TNS Sofres, where he was appointed managing director before joining Ipsos in 2010.

Ipsos president Didier Truchot said: “Yannick’s new mission is key for Ipsos and we are confident he will drive the move towards the future: passive audience measurement, developing syndicated surveys across countries and strengthening our partnership with large media and IT corporations.”

Richard Silman, who has also been appointed special adviser to Carriou, launched the Ipsos Corporate Social responsibility policy in 2008 and will now be responsible for promoting and managing it across the group.
