IIA scoops $1m to build analytics offering

US— The International Institute for Analytics (IIA) has closed a $1m round of funding led by angel investor Irving Levin.

Media industry veteran Steve Woit, unnamed angel investors and other figures from the analytics industry have also participated in the funding.

IIA will use the money to expand its research, sales and online commerce capabilities over the course of 2013.

Jack Phillips, CEO at IIA, said: “After three successful self-funded years, IIA is well positioned, with capital and a knowledgeable group of advisers, to continue serving enterprises who are committed to becoming analytical competitors.”
