Open Point agrees Converlens acquisition

The acquisition will add Converlens’ analytics technology to Open Point’s range of tools focused on community engagement and stakeholder relationship management.
The two organisations have worked together previously, and the acquisition will help bring engagement, relationship management and insights capabilities together under a single platform provider.
Converlens’ technology helps organisations analyse qualitative feedback, including consultation responses, submissions, transcripts and stakeholder communications, and is aimed at supporting public consultations, such as those by governments or regulated industries.
Ben Cowling, chief executive at Open Point, said the acquisition would help create “a system of actionable insights that connects community feedback, stakeholder relationships and engagement activity with better decision-making, stronger accountability and improved project outcomes”.
Clint Walker, co-founder at Converlens, said: “What attracted us to Open Point is a shared belief that technology should help practitioners focus on outcomes rather than administration.”
