GERMANY— GfK Custom Research has named Debi Basu as director of Asia Pacific and Middle East operations, while Jean-Christophe Salles takes on responsibility for Latin America.

Basu, the managing director of GfK Mode in India, will now oversee offices in China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as well as India, with the support of management board member Debra Pruent in China and Japan.

Salles, who was GfK’s Latin American co-ordinator for three years before heading to France to take an additional senior role at GfK CR ISL, will now relocate to Chile to steer regional activities.

Pruent said: “These two appointments significantly strengthen our regional organisations and signal our ongoing commitment to developing GfK Custom Research’s presence.”
