Clark (pictured) has a background in agency and supplier-side research and spent the last six years at Toluna, most recently as senior vice-president of client solutions.

Prior to that, he led operations for The Pert Group, Survey Sampling International, Greenfield Online, and JD Power & Associates.

At Birdie, Clark will be responsible for overseeing operations and leading the client services team.

The company recently secured $1.6m in a seed funding round. Its artificial intelligence-based insight platform is used to extract consumer insights from unstructured data.

Alexandre Hadade, co-founder and chief executive, Birdie, said: “Ted is an accomplished and trusted leader with a proven track record in the market research industry of driving business growth. We look to Ted to help guide our corporate and client strategies and execute against it.”
