Former Qualtrics and Microsoft research leader joins Discuss

US – Qualitative and quantitative research platform Discuss has appointed Luke Williams as its first chief research officer.

Williams will report to Discuss chief executive Daniel Graff-Radford and help to drive the company’s research strategy.

Discuss said it has created the chief research officer position to establish it as central to how customers use the platform.

Williams was previously chief customer experience and research officer at Press Ganey Forsta and has held research and customer experience leadership roles at Microsoft, Qualtrics, AECOM and Ipsos. He is also the author of The Wallet Allocation Rule and of Why Loyalty Matters.

Graff-Radford said: “AI is reshaping research, and we have been reshaping Discuss to meet it. Hiring Luke was about finding a partner who already sees where this is going.”

Graff-Radford added that Williams knows how to combine the company’s AI platform with customers’ own research, “so that insights leaders move from supporting decisions to guiding them.”

Williams began his new role on 14th September. The company has begun a ‘listening tour’ with its customers to hear from research and insights teams about how they are adapting to AI.
