Essex Uni offers MsC in survey methods
The course will be taught by staff from the university’s Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) and the department of sociology, and will cover sampling methods, questionnaire design, management of the survey process and methods for analysing survey data.
The university is hoping for applications from recent graduates as well as survey practitioners already in the workplace.
Programme coordinator Nick Allum said the course offers students the opportunity to work with leading experts in the field, and to work on the Understanding Society project – the UK’s largest ever social research project, tracking 100,00 people, which is being coordinated by the ISER.
