US – Dentsu Aegis Network has announced the planned acquisition of performance marketing agency Oxyma Group.
The Rotterdam-headquartered digital agency, which has offices in Amsterdam, Breda and a location in Dubai, will be integrated into Dentsu’s Merkle agency.
Oxyma comprises a group of five specialist agencies for CRM, paid, owned, and earned media, with clients including Unilever, KLM, Audi and Vodafone.
The acquisition will scale Merkle’s business in the EMEA region with the addition of Oxyma’s 300 employees. Merkle is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, with offices in the US, Europe and Asia.
Julius Minnaar, chief executive of Dentsu Aegis Network Netherlands, said the deal would enhance the network’s business in the Dutch market, and "leverage the opportunities of the intersection between CRM, data, technology, and performance marketing.”
David Williams, chairman and chief executive at Merkle, said: “The acquisition of Oxyma will provide global scale and a new footprint for Merkle in the Netherlands and Dubai."
