Comscore sees rise in 2025 revenue despite fall in Q4

US – Comscore has increased its full-year revenue and reduced its loses compared with the previous financial year but saw fourth quarter revenue drop year-on-year, according to the company’s latest financial results.

Calculator and figures

In its financial results for the year ending 31st December, Comscore saw revenue hit $357.5m compared with $356m in 2024, led by 24% growth in cross-platform solutions and double-digit growth in local TV in the US.

Comscore also reduced its net loss from $60.2m in 2024, owing to a non-cash goodwill impairment charge, to $10m in 2025.

The company also closed a recapitalisation transaction with preferred stockholders in 2025, eliminating its $18m annual dividend burden and the preferred stockholders’ right to a special dividend of at least $47m.

However, for the fourth quarter of 2025, covering the last three months of the year, revenue fell from $94.9m to $93.5m.

Net income was also down on 2024, at $3m rather than the $3.1m seen the previous year, a fall of 1.5%.

Content and advertising measurement revenue declined 2.7% in the fourth quarter compared to the prior year, due to lower revenue from Comscore’s syndicated audience offerings.

However, the quarter saw an increase in cross-platform revenue, which grew 9.6%, and research and insight solutions revenue rose 5.3%, primarily due to new business from consumer brand health products.

Comscore said it expected revenue in the first quarter of 2026 to be similar to that seen in the same quarter in 2025, with full-year revenue performance also expected to follow similar trends to 2025.
