Chaltas joins Ipsos Marketing

US – Ipsos Marketing has hired Alison Chaltas as global president, path to purchase as part of its continued expansion.

Chaltas (pictured), an expert in retail strategy, ecommerce and shopper insight, has most recently run her own sales and marketing consultancy and befor that she was executive vice-president, shopper and retail strategy at GfK.

GfK had acquired the specialist retail consulting firm she'd co-founded, Interscope, in 2010.

At Ipsos, Chaltas will manage and develop its portfolio of path to purchase and shopper tools, including its latest one, Life Path, that helps clients understand and impact shoppers’ choices along their journey.

She said: “With holistic approaches that integrate quantitative and qualitative research, social media, passive metering, and behavioural science, Ipsos is helping clients to make better decisions at every touch point.”
