Accenture acquires data analytics firm Knowledgent
Based in New Jersey, Knowledgent employs over 200 staff in data strategy, engineering and data management services. It focuses mainly on the life sciences, healthcare and financial services sectors.
The move follows Accenture’s July 2018 acquisition of big data and AI company Kogentix and a minority investment in data analytics firm Quantexa.
Bhaskar Ghosh, group chief executive of Accenture Technology Services, said Knowledgent’s “talent, industry experience and proven data solutions” would “accelerate” Accenture’s data services to clients.
Shail Jain, chief executive at Knowledgent, added: “Our combined capabilities will help create more comprehensive, end-to-end data management solutions – from data strategy, architecture, and system integration to managed services.”
The deal is subject to customary closing conditions.
