US – Accenture has agreed to acquire data consultancy Clarity Insights, boosting its artificial intelligence, analytics and machine learning business in North America.
Founded in 2008 and based in Chicago, Clarity Insights provides data science and AI/machine learning engineering for enterprises. The company works with clients in sectors including healthcare, financial services and insurance.
The acquisition will bring around 350 employees to Accenture’s Applied Intelligence. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
The addition builds on Accenture’s acquisitions of Knowledgent and Kogentix in 2018, and Pragsis Bidoop in Spain and Analytics8 in Australia this year.
Athina Kanioura, chief analytics officer and global lead for Applied Intelligence at Accenture, said: “Clarity Insights’s combination of strong technical talent, combined with deep industry expertise, will fortify and broaden our ability to help our clients scale AI across their businesses. Their focus on insight-driven transformation for healthcare bolsters Accenture’s capabilities.”
Neil Huse, president and CEO, Clarity Insights, added: “Fully understanding clients’ business goals and objectives is the first step to a successful AI deployment. With Accenture, we’ll be able to accelerate this shared vision for success and help more clients get there, more quickly.”
Completion of the deal is subject to closing conditions, including anti-trust clearance.
