UK— Online researcher BrainJuicer has reported a 27% rise in revenue and a 24% rise in profit for 2011.
Sales were up from £16.3m to £20.7m, while profit before tax was up from £2.2m to £2.76m.
Outside its domestic market in the UK (which accounted for 42% of revenue), BrainJuicer said that it had seen “strong growth” in the US, Germany and Switzerland. There was a “disappointing” performance in the Netherlands where business declined by 29%, but the company “represents only a small part of our business”.
The firm’s new offices in China and Brazil made an “encouraging start” in their first full year of operation, bringing in revenue of £297,000 and £450,000 respectively.
Founder John Kearon said: “We are pleased to report another period of strong organic growth… Our revenue visibility is, as ever, limited but we are confident that the company will make further progress in 2012.”
