UK – WPP-owned programmatic media and tech company Xaxis has made Nicolas Bidon chief executive for EMEA, replacing Caspar Schlikum.
Bidon was previously global CEO for data native ad company Plista, which was bought by WPP’s GroupM in 2014. He will now be responsible for leading Xaxis’s strategy and operations across EMEA including helping to grow Plista and its sister specialist companies, Light Reaction and Bannerconnect.
Jana Kusick, currently managing director for Germany, Switzerland and Austria at Plista, will take over Bidon’s role as global managing director.
Bidon was managing director for Xaxis for three years helping to establish the company within the GroupM fold, before being made Plista head earlier in the year. He will now report to Xaxis global CEO Brian Gleason.
Schlikum is relocating to APAC where he’ll head Wunderman.
