CHINA — The digital investment arm of WPP has participated in a third-round of financing in relation to its minority investment in China’s Leading Smart Holdings, which, in turn, has a controlling interest in digital measurement company Moment (Miaozhen) Systems.
It is the third time WPP Digital has invested in the company, the first being in 2010, and continues WPP’s strategy of developing its services in fast growing markets and sectors such as Greater China.
WPP has invested in a series C preferred share round in Leading Smart alongside CBC, KPCB and Redpoint Ventures.
Moment Systems was founded in 2006 in Beijing and employs around 280 people. It entered a partnership with WPP-owned research agency Millward Brown in 2009.
