UK - Research tech firm Walr has appointed insights industry veteran Yaron Brenman to the newly created role of chief information officer (CIO).
Brenman has over 20 years experience in the insights industry, starting his career at Confirmit (now Forsta) with spells holding senior roles at Thinqonline and Savanta.
He has been with London-based Walr since last year, previously holding the role of head of Americas.
In his new role, Brenman, who is based in New York, will be tasked with trying to make the company scale quickly and sustainability, without compromising on data security.
Brenman, who has started his new job, will report into chief finance office and co-founder Patrick Fraser.
Last year, Walr acquired research tech business QuenchTec for an undisclosed sum, as it looked to beef up its offering.
Walr, set up in 2020, offers the research industry data creation utilising an audience of millions, combined with data visualisation.
Lewis Reeves, Walr founder and CEO, said: “As we scale quickly it’s important that we build an extremely secure data company that delivers the highest level of trust and confidence for our customers.
“Yaron’s industry experience, understanding of technology and attention to detail brings significant value to the business.”
