UK – Global research technology company Walr has appointed Penelope Bloom as head of enterprise sales.
Bloom (pictured) was previously client development director at Forsta and has a background in software-as-a-service and market research in retail and fast-moving consumer goods.
In her new role at Walr, Bloom will have responsibility for the management of relationships with clients that require the direct integration of Walr software and services with their own operational processes.
Bloom is the third major hire by Walr this year, following Lamia Lee as general manager of Asia-Pacific and Courtney Bergh as director of platform commercialisation.
Walr was set up as a data creation platform in October 2020 and acquired research technology firm QuenchTec in 2021.
Walr employs 75 staff worldwide and has a presence in the UK, US, India, Sweden, Norway, North Macedonia and Australia.
Ben Walton, chief commercial officer at Walr, said: “Bringing her experience to Walr of deploying software solutions in the restech space will be an important step forward in our ability to identify opportunities to integrate more closely with our software clients.
“This is another critical role for Walr as we look to scale up our platform offer globally and develop significant enterprise relationships with any businesses looking to create data at scale.”
