US— Online video measurement firm Visible Measures has been awarded a second US patent for an application that covers a method the firm developed to determine the viewing time of an online video.
The method involves calculating the amount of time a user spends on a web page containing an embedded video.
Visible Measure’s first patent, which was issued in 2008, covers a “service architecture for distributed capture and aggregation of dynamic application usage information on the internet”.
CEO Brian Shin (pictured) said: “We will continue pushing the boundaries of collecting social video data to ensure that we provide our clients with industry-leading analytics and paid, owned, and earned media performance measurement.”
